Travel Outside the United States
If you will be leaving the United States temporarily, you must have certain documentation with you in order to re-enter to the U.S. As an F-1 visa student you are expected to have the following:
- Valid passport
- Valid F-1 visa stamped in your passport
- Current travel signature on page 3 of your Form I-20 from the immigration advisor
Dependents in F-2 status must also have valid passports and visas. If they are traveling alone or with you, they must also have with them the appropriate form I-20 signed by the immigration advisor.
