Share a little about your experience with Biola.
We have been so impressed by the care and professionalism of the staff at Biola. Our daughter is an international student and it was very assuring to have a staff dedicated to handling overseas applicants. We felt well informed and properly guided throughout the whole process. The other staff also did their best to respond to our questions as promptly and as clearly as possible.
How do you feel Biola has helped your daughter?
Our daughter was very specific in selecting Biola – for both its academic rigor and the teaching of the various subjects from a biblical worldwide. These were important criteria for our daughter in deciding on Biola. The excellent faculty and curriculum have indeed met and in some cases exceeded hers and our expectations.
In addition, being at Biola has given her opportunities to assume different responsibilities as a Senior Student Ambassador. Her involvement as one of the leaders in the International Student Association has also enabled her to reach out to fellow students.

Share your thoughts on Biola’s academic reputation and your daughter’s academic experience while at Biola.
Our daughter has certainly found the academic requirements very challenging and demanding, yet without a doubt enriching. Even though the demands are high, our daughter has found that what she has learned, and continues to learn, are both practical and relevant to her interests and life.

Do you believe that Biola is a good financial investment for your family?
In our country, we do not have Christian universities. As such, to be able to receive an education that integrates our faith in God with what we study is, from our perspective, receiving a holistic education.
The combination of excellent and personable faculty and staff, sound biblical education and well-motivated fellow students and friends at Biola make for an environment conducive for one to thrive. The investment is definitely well worth it.

What has been your experience as parents who live far away from Biola?
Being countries apart from our daughter, we certainly miss her. But with Biola’s support and modern technology, we are able to keep in constant touch with her and what’s going on for her at Biola. We receive a regular e-newsletter from Biola to parents that is extremely helpful in keeping us abreast with the happenings on campus. Also, the parent’s access via the ‘BSI’ to the student’s information such as courses, financial statement, and grades report, helps us stay current with some of the important areas of our child. Of course, we also keep in touch through emails, online chats and skype.
