Tutoring
Individual and group tutoring is offered to all undergraduates for many of the general education courses. Tutors will work closely with students and professors to focus upon meeting the needs of each student.
The fee for individual tutoring is $60 per class, per semester (fees are subject to change). Individual tutoring sessions are limited and are available on a first- come, first-served basis. Students are strongly encouraged to sign up early.
Group tutoring sessions are $30 per class, per semester. A schedule of group tutoring sessions is available by calling (562) 906-4542.
Students may sign up for tutoring sessions at The Learning Center, located in Library, upper level, room U-137.
BE A TUTOR
Tutoring positions are available to undergraduate students who have earned a "B+" or better in all subjects they wish to tutor. We are also looking for students who are available 5-10 hours per week, who have excellent communication skills, are self-motivated, enjoy working with others, are willing to learn new skills and are responsible. Stop by the Learning Center for an application.
