Senior Dinner
Approximately 250 people, including graduating seniors and their guests, gathered in Chase Gymnasium on Friday evening for a dinner in honor of the December 2008 graduates.
A string trio, including Biola alumni Kelly (Van Deusen ’05) and Lindsey (Gray ’02) Orr and current student Nathan Cottrell, played music throughout dinner, followed by Alumni Board president Chris Gleason (’05) inducting the graduates into the Alumni Association.
Dr. Betsy Barber, recipient of the 2008 Faculty Excellence Award, was the speaker of the evening, challenging the graduates with five “Lessons from the Bear”: 1) life is never going to be what you expect; 2) choose wise companions; 3) know your enemy; 4) remember what you’ve been taught; and 5) wherever you are and whatever you do, pray.
