Dave Holmquist Reaches Coaching Milestone
Biola University athletic director and men's basketball coach, Dave Holmquist, reached a milestone in his coaching career on Jan. 15, coaching his 1000th game.
Holmquist was featured in the Whittier Daily News for his achievement. He is the 40th college coach to reach such a mark and the seventh on the NAIA's all-time list.
Holmquist told the Whittier Daily News, "I really wasn't thinking about the 1,000th game until just a few days before. Then I thought about how many games 1,000 represents, how many practices and different players connected with it."
