Professor Answers the Question 'Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?'

Greg Peters, associate professor of medieval and spiritual theology was interviewed by crosswalk.com, a Christian Web site, in an article titled Should Christians Celebrate Christmas?

Peters discusses the history behind celebrating the Dec. 25th holiday and gives his thoughts on celebrating the holiday:

"The issue isn’t whether to boycott or observe Christmas, Peters adds, “but to observe it properly, maybe recovering Advent or some sense of anticipation of the arrival of our Savior. Liturgically, Christmas is a season, not a day. It's important to keep in mind although Christmas Day or Dec. 25 may seem very materialistic, that the season itself doesn't have to be.”
