Nancy Pearcey, author of the best-selling book "Total Truth: Liberating Christianity from its Cultural Captivity," taught a week-long course at Biola from January 10-14. The course, entitled, "Advanced Christian Worldview," discussed the role of Christianity in the public sector.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the Christian Worldview class with Mrs. Pearcey” Christy Giannestras said. “I learned so much in the short time she was here at Biola. Through reading her books "Total Truth", "How Now Shall We Live" (with Charles Colson), and "The Soul of Science," as well as interacting with her during in-class discussions, I feel more confident about my Christian beliefs and have a renewed desire to impact the world for the cause of Christ.”

Pearcey was a featured guest on the C-Span 2 program "Book TV" last November. She is the Francis A. Schaeffer Scholar at the World Journalism Institute. During her career, Pearcey has served as the managing editor of the journal "Origins and Design," as an editorial board member for Salem Communications and as a commentator on "Public Square Radio." Her articles have appeared in "The Washington Times," "World," "Christianity Today," and the "Regent University Law Review."
