women's soccer team

The Biola lady Eagles finished the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) undefeated at 10-0 overall, the first undefeated regular season for Biola's women's soccer. The all-time leading scorer, senior Rianne Schorel, became the first Biola ladies soccer player to be named GSAC Player of the Year.

Head Coach Mike Silzer became the first women's soccer coach in Biola history to be named GSAC Coach of the Year. Silzer has averaged more than 12 wins per season in his four years at Biola and led the Eagles to their first undefeated regular season and their first national tournament appearance.

GSAC is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the nation's first collegiate athletic association to offer national championships. Current members are Azusa Pacific University, Biola University, California Baptist University, Christian Heritage College, Concordia University, Fresno Pacific University, Hope International University, The Master's College, Point Loma Nazarene University, Vanguard University and Westmont College.

Schorel and Hilary Dunham were named first-team NAIA All-Americans, the first two women's soccer players in Biola's history to receive this recognition. Natalie Roth made the All-American second team and was named to the 2004 national championship all-tournament team.
