5,500 People Attend Lecture Series Kick-Off With Lee Strobel

Lee Strobel

Strobel, a former investigative reporter with the Chicago Tribune, is best known for his book, "The Case for Christ." This book details how Strobel went from being an atheist to a Christian, using the tools of investigative journalism.

In addition to Strobel, speakers at the kick-off event included J.P. Moreland, John-Mark Reynolds and Craig Hazen.

Attendees of the June 1 event also received a complimentary copy of the newly released DVD "Jesus: Fact or Fiction." The interactive DVD features discussion among Christian scholars and writers about the compelling evidence for the reliability of the Christian worldview.

The DVD is produced and distributed by The Jesus Film Project, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ.

The Defending the Faith Lecture Series resumes on Thursday, June 3 and continues every Tuesday and Thursday through June 24 at 7 p.m. in Biola's Calvary Chapel. Registration cost for the full lecture series is $195.
