Professors Named Gold Medallion Book Awards Finalists
Books written by Biola professors J.P. Moreland, William Lane Craig and Craig Detweiler have been named as finalists in the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's 2004 Gold Medallion Book Awards.
Moreland and Lane's "Philosophical Foundation for a Christian Worldview" is named as a finalist in the "Reference Works/Commentaries" category. Moreland co-authored the book with Talbot Research Professor William Lane Craig. Moreland is a distinguished Biola University professor and author in the fields of philosophy and apologetics.
"A Matrix of Meanings: Finding God in Pop Culture," written by Detweiler, is listed as a finalist in the "Theology/Doctrine" category. Detweiler, a screenwriter and author, currently serves as chair of Biola's Mass Communication Department.
Five finalists are named for each of the Gold Medallion Award's twenty categories. Winners are selected on the basis of content, literary quality, design and significance.
