Intelligent Design Conference to Feature Sessions for Science Educators
About 500 people attended the "Intelligent Design and the Future of Science" conference, which was hosted by Biola's new "Science and Religion Master's Degree Program." The conference was held at Biola April 22 through 24. "The Biola campus was jammed with many hundreds of enthusiastic participants, who came from near and far to attend the schedule of sessions," Phillip E. Johnson said of the conference. Johnson, law professor, author and leading critic of Darwinism, spoke at a banquet given in his honor on the first night of the three-day conference.
In addition to Johnson's presentation, the conference featured several leading thinkers in the Intelligent Design (ID) movement, including Michael Behe and William Dembski.
Speakers addressed recent advances in biochemistry, astrophysics and psychology.
