Songs of Love, Loss and Betrayal: An intimate recital by Metropolitan Opera bass baritone Richard Zeller and internationally celebrated classical guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan.

Featuring the wonderful pairing of voice and guitar, this intimate recital includes songs historically written for voice and guitar and new transcriptions for this collaboration. The program includes Art Songs by Franz Schubert, Manuel De Falla, Reynaldo Hahn, and Joaquin Rodrigo and guitar solos by J.S. Bach, John Cage and Keigo Fujii.

Bass baritone Richard Zeller is internationally acclaimed for his dramatic and beautiful voice, compelling stage presence and outstanding musicianship. His career has included 12 seasons at the Metropolitan Opera and performances of operas and concert repertoire at the highest international levels. In addition to his active performing career, he is Associate Professor of Voice and Opera at Biola University Conservatory of Music.

Noted for his “astounding technical proficiency and artistic delicacy” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), classical world guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan is an international touring and recording artist. He has performed solo and chamber music in Russia, Europe and across the United States.
