A day on campus for grandparents and their Biola grandchildren

This is a paid event.


All Biola students and their grandparents are invited to join us for a day full of activities! Grandparents will have the chance to experience their grandchild’s home away from home as well as attend chapel, take golf cart tours, enjoy a delicious lunch, attend seminars from Biola professors and much more!

Want grandma and grandpa to receive a personal invitation to our annual Grandparents Day? Submit their contact information via our Grandparent Information form.

Registration will open January 12, 2018 and close March 30, 2018.

Schedule

Arriving early?
Grandparents can enjoy breakfast in the Café by paying at the door from 7:30–9:15 a.m. Students can use their meal plan or flex points.

8:30 a.m Golf Cart Campus Tours
Fluor Fountain
Enjoy a 30-minute narrated tour of campus. Groups will leave every 15 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

8:30 a.m. Walking Campus Tour, meet in front of Metzger Hall

Get a detailed look at the campus and inside buildings on a 1 hour walking tour of the campus.
Not advised for those who need mobility assistance.

9:30–10:20 a.m. Chapel
Sutherland Auditorium
Join our Biola students for chapel as President Barry Corey will be speaking.

10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Lawn Games
Metzger Lawn
Join us for a round of bocce ball, corn hole and more!

Morning Activity Options #1

Enjoy a 30-minute narrated tour of campus. Groups will leave every 15 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

10:30–11:30 a.m. Morning Seminar with Associate Professor of Biblical and Theological Studies, Dr. Joanne Jung.

Forgiveness is one of the difficult challenges for people, yet it is commanded of Christians by God. Paul and a psalmist offer a reason and a way to foster forgiveness, even in the most challenging of relationships.


Morning Activity Option #2

11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Golf Cart Campus Tours

Enjoy a 30-minute narrated tour of campus. Groups will leave every 15 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

12:30–1:45 p.m. Lunch Buffet
Tent on Soubirou Lot
Come and enjoy great conversations over delicious food. This is come-and-go event with no formal programming. Buffet lines will open at 12:30 p.m. and close at 1:30 p.m. Advanced registration is required ($10 for grandparents and $5 for Biola students)

Afternoon Activity Options

2–3 p.m. Lawn Games
Metzger Lawn
Join us on Metzger Lawn for a round of Bocce Ball. and other games.

2–3 p.m. Golf Cart Campus Tours

Enjoy a 30-minute narrated tour of campus. Groups will leave every 15 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis.

3 p.m. Worship and prayer at the Bell Tower
Let's end the day the way it began- with worship and prayer. Join us at the Bell Tower for a brief time of worship and prayer with one of our student worship teams.

*You are welcome to join us this evening at the Vocal Jazz and King’s Men concert in Crowell Music Hall at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door as seats are available
