The document you are about to download and read contains the thoughts, aspirations and intentions of the leadership of Biola University. It describes who we are as an academic institution, what we value and believe to be important for us to teach and lead in a way that God has called us given the environment around us. This collection of ideas gives direction and structure for the years leading up to Biola’s 100th anniversary and beyond.
By its very nature, this is a fluid document, capturing the big ideas as best we know them today. As Christ-followers we acknowledge the inherent tension between preparing plans for the University and the requisite openness to following God’s purposes for Biola as He reveals them to us. At the heart of this document is a profound desire to follow God wherever He directs us. At this point in the University’s existence, we believe this document captures the essence of God’s plans for Biola’s future.
