Biola graduated more than 900 students in their Spring 2007 Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26, 2007, the largest graduating class in Biola's 99-year history. Nearly 10,000 guests packed the campus between the two days, celebrating the students' remarkable achievements.

Dr. Charles Swindoll, senior pastor of Stonebriar Community Church and chancellor of Dallas Theological Seminary, served as the Commencement Speaker. Dr. Swindoll is internationally known as a best-selling author and speaker on the "Insight for Living" radio program, which is heard in more than 120 countries on more than 2,000 radio outlets daily. For 23 years, Dr. Swindoll was pastor of the First Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton before serving for several years as president of Dallas Theological Seminary.

Dr. Swindoll is a long-time friend of Biola University's President, Dr. Clyde Cook. In a surprise presentation, Dr. Swindoll honored President Clyde Cook and Mrs. Cook at the graduation ceremony for his 25 years of service and leadership. Swindoll presented President and Mrs. Cook with a special leather-bound copy of his newest book, A Life Well Lived, which he dedicated to the Cooks. This was a fitting moment for President Cook's final graduation as Biola's president.
