Fall
USA Team Tennis Campus League
Sign Up by Labor Day
During the first five weeks of the semester, we utilize a team tennis format and acquaint new students with friends of Biola tennis. Each team has a variety of skill levels ranging in skill from 2.5 to 5.0 and include students, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends of the community. The skill level is distributed on teams evenly so as to provide appropriate competition for each member.
Winter
The Annual Tournament
Entries available the first week of October
The first tournament was originally a student project that was held over Veteran’s Day weekend in 1979. In addition to raising funds for the intercollegiate teams, the tournament has introduced prospective students to our campus, provided a venue for alumni to reconnect, served as a "first" tournament experience for many, and connected local players with collegians.
For the last 10 years, the doubles events, played on one night using a round robin format, has been well received. It's been fun to watch the array of combinations who have participated over the years, including father & son, father & daughter, husband & wife, brother & sister, brothers, coach and former player, college partners, and business partners. No matter whom you team with, plan to have fun.
Spring
Tennis Across America
Reservations open April 1
Each May, the United States Professional Tennis Association sponsors an annual event at courts throughout America. Biola has participated in the endeavor since 1995. This FREE clinic is an opportunity to introduce tennis to families from Biola and the community. Other local tennis pros have joined us to provide individuals at various ages and levels with a morning of fun.
