There are several ways to connect to Biola’s network and the Internet. Students can “plug in” using the ethernet jacks wired in residence hall rooms or Biola apartments, and employees can do the same using the wired ethernet jacks in their offices.

You can also connect via Biola’s wireless network, which is available for Biola students, employees, and alumni via BiolaSECURE.AC. On-campus guests can connect to the Internet using BiolaGUEST, which provides more limited access.

The Clean Access service provides protection from virus-infected computers on the network by placing them in quarantine. Clean Access is required for all computers connected to the network in residence hall rooms, Biola apartments, and Biola common areas such as the Library, SUB and computer labs. It is also required for computers connected wirelessly through the BiolaSECURE.AC network.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) functionality allows employees to remotely connect to Biola’s internal network to access resources otherwise unavailable from off-campus.

All of the services summarized above either depend on or allow you to use Biola’s Internet connection, contracted with Verizon.

More information on these services can be found in the details page, above.
