Shannon has been teaching at Biola University in the Department of Nursing since 2010. Her clinical experience is in the specialties of Pediatric and Community nursing. After graduating from Biola University with her Bachelor's of Science, she worked at the University of California, Irvine on the pediatric unit for several years. She then went on to be a full time camp nurse at Hume Lake Christian Camps. There she was the nurse manager over the camp clinic and cared for patients with a wide variety of injuries, illnesses, and emergencies. She continued her nursing career at CHOC Children's Hospital, caring for pediatric oncology patients in Orange County. Through these different endeavors in nursing, she came to realize she enjoyed teaching nursing students and helping them learn and understand the nursing profession. This led her back to her roots at Biola University. Currently, she is working with nursing students in the skills and simulation labs, as well as, being a clinical instructor for the pediatric nursing rotation at CHOC Children's Hospital
