James Hirsen, a New York Times best-selling author, commentator, news analyst and law professor, teaches media law at Biola University. Bringing an extensive knowledge and much practical experience to the classroom, Hirsen directs students in the study of topics such as intellectual property, privacy law and libel.
"At Biola I have the freedom to teach the true source of law and ethics," states Hirsen. "The only way to account for abstract immaterial ethical ideals is with a theistic worldview."

He has also been interviewed on TV shows such as The O'Reilly Factor. Hirsen also has written several books, including Tales from the Left Coast: True Stories of Hollywood Stars and Their Outrageous Politics, a New York Times best-seller. In addition, he is a weekly columnist for NewsMax.com.
Hirsen teaches law at both Biola University and Trinity Law School. He is admitted to practice in the California and Washington, D.C. Bar Associations, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
