Chi-Chung Keung

    Chi-Chung Keung is a seasoned professional in the field of public relations, having over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising and public relations in corporate and non-profit organizations. Keung teaches beginning and advanced public relations classes at Biola, giving students background on the history and theory of PR and practical, hands-on experience in planning and implementing public relations campaigns.

    Keung cites his interactions with students as one of the most rewarding aspects of his 10 years at Biola.

    "I've thoroughly enjoyed the students in my classroom and am so blessed to know that many of them still keep in touch with me long after they graduate from Biola," he says. He makes a point to assist PR students with their resumes and utilize his network of public relations professionals to help them get internships and jobs.

    Keung believes that Biola is a prime institution for students to gain an education in public relations.

    "Credibility is the hallmark of a successful public relations professional. Hand-in-hand with credibilty is integrity. There is no greater need in today's culture than to have ethical and talented individuals working in the field of public relations. As such, Biola is the perfect environment for the development of Christian professionalism the field of public relations. I am indeed blessed to not only work in this profession for the past 23 years, but also to have a small hand in ushering a new generation of Christian professionals into this career track."

    Keung currently serves as the executive director of public affairs and marketing at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. He previously held the same position at Cerritos College, and from 1993 to 1999 was the director of university relations and director of parent and public relations at Biola University. Keung also worked for Pepsi-Cola and was involved with the introduction of the Slice soft drink line to the Los Angeles market in 1985.

    Keung holds a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in marketing from California State University, Los Angeles and a bachelor's of science degree in business management from the University of Southern California.
