Intro
My name is Erin Lyn Peters. I've lived in Orange County my whole life and I'm a commuter. I like to read, spend time with friends, dance, and play music. I'm a sophomor. On campus I am a part of the commuter life staff team and a member of the dance worship team. Off campus, I am the elementary program coordinator for SeaCoast Grace church and I love working in children's ministry!
What do you love about Christian Education Ministries?
I love that it is very practical, wide-ranged major. There are so many different areas that you can go into with the CE major. I also love that CE is so community-oriented. I swear, it really is the most social major on campus.
What are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about God and reaching teens for Christ. I have a real heart for youth ministriy. I'm also passionate about music, and the impact it can have on peoples mood, attitude, and life.
What advice do you have for our new Christian Education Ministries students?
Get involved on campus! Get to know your professors and fellow students—learn from the people around you, not just from your classes. =]
What is the greatest lesson you have learned here at Biola?
Here at Biola, among all the things I've learned, the most important would be the value of time. I have four years here and I'm learning that I won't get any "extra" time—it's just now. And in that I'm learning how to give myself away and be the friend, classmate, teacher, daughter and sister I'm called to be.
What is your favorite class so far?
Foundations of Interpersonal Relationships.
What are your life goals?
To help people experience Christ's love and help them learn how to share that love with others…wherever that takes me in life, I'm excited for it.
Where do you hang out on campus and off?
The collegium, the park with my friends, the beach, Panera…
Who has been your greatest influence in your life?
My grandma, who taught me how to endure with joy through all, and love despite difficulties.
