1. How much does Torrey Rome Cost?
The cost of Torrey Rome is approximately $3,000 excluding approximately $75 in museum entrance fees, $50 in Rome transportation fees and $300 for food. The Torrey fee includes tuition for 4 units, hotel, round-trip airfare from Los Angeles to Rome and daily breakfast.
2. What kind of credit do I get for attending Torrey Rome?
Torrey Rome is a 4-unit class which can satisfy the
requirement for any YMDT class numbered 300 or above or Torrey thesis
3. When is Torrey Rome?
Torrey Rome is held during Biola UniversityÕs Interterm in January. Departure for Rome is around the middle of January and we return just a few days prior to the start of the spring semester. Upon their return, students are able to move directly into their campus housing.
4. Can I deviate from the Torrey Rome flight itinerary either before or after the course?
No. Flight deviations are not allowed. Students who desire to travel to Europe before the Torrey Rome program, meeting the group in Rome, are allowed to do so but they will not be refunded any of the Torrey Rome fee. Early departure to Europe is at the studentÕs expense as is their return at the conclusion of Torrey Rome. Students studying in Oxford during the fall semester who remain in Europe, meeting the group in Rome, are expected to make their own fight arrangements from Rome to Los Angeles and are also charged the full price of the program.
5. Will my Biola financial aide cover the cost of this course?
The best way to determine an answer to this question is by scheduling a meeting with Biola UniversityÕs Financial Aid department. Many students can receive financial aid for this program but it varies greatly from student to student.
