Steps for applying to Torrey Rome:
- Attend a Torrey Rome informational meeting in March to ask questions and hear specific information on the yearÕs curriculum.
- Meet with your Torrey mentor to select a course that will count toward your degree completion. Review how your Torrey Rome units will fit with your academic program schedule toward graduation requirements. (Torrey Rome is a 4-unit class which can satisfy the requirement for any YMDT class numbered 300 or above or a Torrey thesis).
- Submit a Torrey Rome application to Dr. Greg Peters by the announced date. If selected, put down a non-refundable $500 deposit by May 15.
- During the summer, complete up an off-campus program form and schedule all necessary appointments, including Biola UniversityÕs Health Center.
- Upon returning to Biola in August, obtain signatures from Finance/Accounting, the Registrar, Health Center and Student Affairs. These are necessary to provide evidence that you are a student in good standing Ð academically, financially, and behaviorally. Obtain signatures indicating proper course selection from your Torrey mentor and your academic major advisor.
- Submit your completed form with appropriate signatures to the Torrey Rome Director by the announced date.
- Your form will the be signed by the Torrey Rome Director and the Director of the Torrey Honors Institute and submitted to Biola UniversityÕs Coordinator of Special and Off-Campus Undergraduate Programs, Amy Agadoni in the RegistrarÕs Office.
- Make your final payments as required by Finance/Accounting.
