Torrey Cambridge

An old building in Oxford

Torrey Cambridge allows students to immerse themselves in the academic and historic world of Cambridge, England, home to the second oldest university in the world. For three weeks, students live in the Downing College dorms and study some of the greatest literary works to emerge from Cambridge, under the guidance of two Torrey tutors. Besides reading and discussing these Great Books, students explore the great castles and cathedrals of Britain, tour beautiful cities and towns such as London and Oxford, and attend open-air plays at the Globe Theater and Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. On the weekends, they are further encouraged to spend their free time visiting memorable and exotic locations throughout Europe as they learn to engage a continent where so many influential ideas were born.
