GERANIUM LEAF 500X - 3D IMAGES

Try either the small pair or the larger pair. It works easiest if you divide the two images by holding something (like a card) between them, helping your left eye to only focus on the left image, and your right eye to focus only only the right image. If you cannot get this to work, on the smaller images, try the larger images. If you cannot get either to work, then maybe print the pictures and try again on the printed images. Good luck.

The tower-like structures are glandular trichomes. On the leaf surface there can also be seen lip-like guard cells forming stomata. The stomatal openings are to let carbon dioxide gas into the leaf for photosynthesis. The glandular trichomes probably contain the chemical which gives geraniums there odor when handled.
