Terms and Conditions

For the Broadcast of the "Do the Right Thing" Event


Please read this information carefully. Biola University may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time by updating this section. You should visit this page periodically to review the Terms and Conditions, as any revisions become binding upon you at the time they are posted.

This is a legal agreement between you and Biola University, Inc stating the terms that govern your viewing. To agree to these terms, enter your credit card number to complete the transaction. If you do not agree to these terms, do not complete the transaction.

Device Requirements & User Responsibility
This broadcast requires one or more compatible devices, Internet access (fees may apply), and certain software (fees may apply), and may require obtaining updates or upgrades from time to time. Because this broadcast involves hardware, software, and Internet access, your ability to use the Service may be affected by the performance of these factors. High speed internet access is required. You acknowledge and agree that such system requirements are your responsibility.

Proprietary Information
You agree that the broadcast, including but not limited to graphics, audio clips, video clips, editorial content, links, electronic art, and all other data available within this broadcast website (hereinafter the "Content") contains proprietary information and material that is owned by Biola University, Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws and other laws, including but not limited to copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret. The user further agrees that the user will not use such proprietary information or materials in any way whatsoever except for use in compliance with the terms of this agreement. No portion of the broadcast may be reproduced in any form or by any means, except as expressly permitted hereunder. The user agrees not to copy, modify, reproduce, transmit, distribute, publish, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, display or otherwise transfer, commercially exploit, rent, lease, loan, or sell any of the Content, in whole or in part based on the broadcast in any manner, and you shall not exploit the broadcast in any unauthorized way whatsoever, including but not limited to, by trespass or burdening network capacity.

All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, in and to this broadcast are owned by Biola University, Inc. who reserve all their rights in law and equity.

Access to the broadcast does not transfer to you any commercial or promotional use rights in the broadcast.

Limited License For Use
All registered users of the Biola University "Do the Right Thing" Event website are hereby granted a non-exclusive, nontransferable, limited license for the viewing of the "Do the Right Thing" Event broadcast retrieved from the Biola University website. The event broadcast may not, in whole or in part, in any form or by any means, including but not limited to materials retrieved therefrom and the underlying code, be copied, modified, reproduced, republished, transmitted, distributed, published, reverse engineered, made into derivative works, displayed or otherwise transferred, commercially exploited, rented, leased, loaned, or sold. In no event shall the Content from this event broadcast be stored in any information and retrieval system without prior written permission from Biola University.

Security Agreement
You understands that the broadcast and broadcast website includes a security framework using technology that protects digital information and limits usage to certain usage rules established by Biola University, Inc. You agree to comply with such usage rules, as further outlined below, and you agree not to violate or attempt to violate any security components. You agree not to attempt to, or assist another person to, circumvent, reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise tamper with any of the security components related to such usage rules for any reason whatsoever. Biola University intends to operate and maintain this website in a reasonably prudent manner. However, like any Internet-based system, website operation may occasionally be subject to circumstances beyond Biola University's control. In no event will Biola University be liable to you or any third party for any damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the website, including, without limitation, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, loss of goodwill, lost business, lost data, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other damages or losses that result from mistakes, omissions, interruptions, deletion of information, errors, defects, viruses, delays in operation or transmission, or any other failure of performance, whether or not limited to acts of God, communications failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to Biola University's records, programs or services.

General Provisions
By using Biola University's "Do the Right Thing" Event website, you agree to the above stated Terms and Conditions. This Agreement is entered into in the State of California and shall be construed in accordance with California law. In any action concerning this Agreement, each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts having jurisdiction in the State of California, and waives any jurisdictional, venue, or inconvenient forum objections to such courts. In the event that any provisions of this Agreement are held to be unenforceable, such provisions shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties pertaining to the subject matter hereof, and any prior written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties are expressly deemed null and void. Biola University may modify these Terms and Conditions by posting such modifications on this page. Continued use of this Site following any change constitutes your acceptance of the change.
