Courses
Students in the Liberal Studies, Elementary Education major receive a broad education that spans a diverse spectrum of subjects. Core classes fall into seven categories:
- Reading, Language and Literature
- History and Social Science
- Mathematics
- Science
- Visual and Performing Arts
- Physical Education
- Human Development
On top of the core courses, each student within the major selects an approved 12-unit focused area of study in one of the following areas:
- Biology
- Early Childhood
- English
- Human Development
- Intercultural Studies
- Mathematics
- Physical Education
- Spanish
- U.S. History
- Visual Arts
- World History
In addition, 30 units of biblical studies courses are required of each Biola student.
