Program Requirements
To earn a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential as an undergraduate through Biola's Teacher Preparation Program, a student must complete:
- A 3-unit prerequisite course;
- 25 units of teacher preparation coursework;
- 16 units of multiple subject course competencies; and
- Additional state-required exams and certification.

All teacher preparation and multiple subject competency courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher with the exception of Elementary Student Teaching, which must be completed with a grade of "B-" or higher. Overall, a 2.75 GPA must be maintained in the teacher preparation course sequence.
Exams
All exams must be passed prior to student teaching.
RICA must be passed in order to apply for credential.
