If you trained to be a teacher as an undergraduate at Biola, you're already well on your way to a Master of Arts in Teaching. For most undergraduates who've participated in our Teacher Preparation Program, the master's degree can be completed in as few as 12–18 months.

A typical undergraduate working toward a teaching credential finishes their senior year needing only to complete student teaching as a graduate. In the M.A.T. program, you start with one semester of student teaching, and then take courses such as classroom management and spiritual formation.

From there, courses can be completed online, focusing on everything from intercultural education to philosophy to the life of Christ, the Master Teacher. With the online offerings, students can start their program at Biola, receive their teaching credential, and then finish the program at home through online mentoring. Start here — finish anywhere!
