Biola did a great job teaching its education students how to plan lessons. Many observation hours were required in the classroom in order for us to get experience watching teachers and working with them. Biola’s teachers in the School of Education were very accessible and available to meet with and discuss teaching with.
The Bible minor that I earned as an undergraduate at Biola has come in handy teaching at a Christian school. We use secular texts, so I have been able to integrate Bible into the curriculum. I was very thankful to have a Christian education program that integrated faith with teaching.
