About

For more than 100 years, Biola University has been equipping Christian men and women to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ through biblically centered education. The School of Education, established in 2007 as Biola's seventh school, exists to train up those who desire to make an impact as educators in classrooms, administration buildings, homeschools, the mission field and beyond.

The School of Education serves a diverse student body, consisting of more than 285 undergraduate students and 205 graduate students. Our fully doctored, full-time faculty is made up of outstanding professionals with decades of combined experience in classroom and administrative settings.

At the undergraduate level, the School of Education is home to the liberal studies major, which consistently ranks among the five most popular undergraduate majors at Biola. At the graduate level, the School of Education offers the flexible Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) and Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) programs, which can be tailored to meet the individual interests of new and experienced teachers alike.

Our state-accredited Teacher Preparation Program offers teaching credentials at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
