Dr. Buckles' primary teaching responsibility is in the fully-employed MBA program, where he teaches seminars on marketing and entrepreneurship, and directs the capstone seminar. His current research focuses principally on the integration of one's faith and work, which currently involves writing business cases with a Christian world view. He is the founding editor of the new Christian Business Faculty Association's case journal, and the marketing track chair for the North American Case Research Association. Past research includes publishing articles in refereed journals and national and international conference proceedings, as well as presentations at several national and international conferences. Some of Dr. Buckles' research has been funded by public and private organizations, including the Kellogg Foundation and several government agencies. Dr. Buckles has received awards for his research, teaching, and service, and is currently a consultant for a number of private and public sector firms. He works with Christian business owners and churches concerning faith integration, and is a co-founder of a para-church ministry that is a resource for churches to train Christian business men and women to impact their workplaces for the Lord Jesus Christ. Dr. Buckles is married (31 years), has one teenage daughter, and currently worships at The Gathering of Orange County, an Anglican community. |
