Meet the Staff

Carrie Stockton , Director of Academic Advising and Student Retention

I am the Director of Academic Advising and I've worked at Biola since 2001, having previously served in the undergraduate admissions office. I love working at Biola, especially walking alongside the amazing students God has brought here and seeing God work in their lives. My time attending a Christian college was rich with experiences of deep relationships with faculty and fellow students and learning about the Lord's presence in my life. It's a privilege to be a part of that experience for Biola students, especially through teaching First Year Seminar and advising undeclared students about possible majors. God has given us each unique strengths and I am so excited each time I see someone discover how those gifts and talents will be used for His glory.

Hi! I just graduated from Biola in May '08 and I'm thrilled to be working in Academic Advising. I love helping students discover their passions and turning that into discovering a major. I advise mostly declared majors but some undeclared as well. I am also the coordinator for the Bible Bridge program which gives transfer students a chance to catch up on their 30 units of Bible over the summer.
